Happy New Year loves!! I hope everyone had a good holiday and gained 3+ lbs like I did! (to those who have metabolism; screw you :*(
Last year, I thought I had a pretty good resolution (2011 tagline: f*ck it, let's do it.) It served me well and I have no complaints. In short, it was a year of change for me.  :)
What are my resolutions for this year? Pretty typical, but: be more healthy (this is vague, so in specific: drink abit less, be more food/health conscious) and get back to blogging. (I want to add to this list, but I have a feeling it'll turn into a bucket list. So one thing at a time..)
So here I am. And I ran 6km today. But now I have a blister on my foot. So I nursed the pain with a slice of pizza. #fail
Can you guys tell me what your New Year resolutions are??

in the night sky, like shooting stars

Hey guys, this will be a short post. I was supposed to be studying for a midterm, but of course then I decided to do everything but. Amyway, I loved how my nails turned out so I wanted to share it with you guys and how you can get the same look :D

 

It was super easy to do:

• Base coat
• Two coats of OPI's Yoga-ta Get This Blue!
• One coat of Sephora by OPI's Only Gold for Me Top Coat (that I stole from my sister - hi meow!)

Unlike other polishes where the glitter can look big and tacky, or those that don't even stick on, this top coat was freakin awesome and has great staying power. But my favourite thing about the polish is that the glitter in the bottle are two different shapes, which gives the look of stars in the night sky, especially with the blue background. I just might have to try this polish with a dark red base for NYE, that is, if there is anything left by then. (don't hide it meow!)

nails vs nails

I was extra lame this year and didn't really participate in any Halloween events. So instead, I decided to paint my nails to ring in the festivities. I played around with a few colours, and this is what I got:

Oh man I thought I was so cool; drawing a little ghost that went boo! and a tombstone. All with just a toothpick too! That is, until I saw what one of my girlfriend’s did…

HOLY CRAP. Her nails kicked my nails’ asses. If there was ever a thumb war, she would break mine off, eat it, and rub her tummy like it was delicious even though it was a thumb that she just ate. She did such an amazing job, and with just an old eyeliner brush too.

Amyway, if any of you guys are interested in how I did mine, *sad face* here are the polishes and other tools that I used:

L-R: OPI's Base Coat, Joe's Gunmetal, Nicole by OPI's Freshly Squeezed, Nicole by OPI's Show You Care, OPI's Black Onyx

 Cotton pad and tissue for mistakes, paper for practicing drawings, and loser toothpick.
